Welcome to Nursery.
Please take time to have a browse around the Nursery page and have an insight into the activities and learning opportunities your children enjoy each day.
We will add photographs of learning in action and you can also find some questions that relate to our learning experiences each week.
We have had a busy and productive first term. Your children are working very hard and we are very proud of the progress they are all making.
Forest School has been very successful and in part that is due to all the parents who have volunteered to accompany us each week- Thank you all.
The Christmas productions were amazing and all credit to the children for their performing debut!
The day-to-day learning has also been amazing with the children now applying the skills and knowledge they have learnt.
On Thursday 8th March to celebrate Mothers' Day you are invited to come and enjoy a 'making' day with your child. This will be through the Nursery sessions 8.45-11.45 (morning nursery) and 12.30-3.30 (afternoon nursery) and you can choose to stay for the whole session or part of the time.
There will be assorted craft and some cooking activities for you to enjoy together. We provide all the resources and we will even tidy up!
Friday 9th March the children will perform some songs for mums, nans and any female relatives so please come and join us from 11.15 for morning nursery and 3.00 for afternoon nursery.
Easter bonnet parade- remember to get creative at home and make your own Easter Bonnet for our parade around school.
After Easter we have a couple of new topics; one will be mini-beasts. We have ordered some caterpillars so the children will see them grow and make a cocoon and then emerge as butterflies.
We are also having a space topic and reading Aliens love underpants. We will be having a space role-play and a mini-beast role-play. This will provide superb opportunities to explore different environments and to broaden our imaginative and creative play.
After the Whitsun half term our topic will be trains!
We are having a train ride for Father's day on Friday 15th June so if you are a dad or granddad then save the date and join us.
The next half term will be led by our train topic. We will read the Train Ride story and change our role-play areas to reflect this. Our train ride to Henley-in-Arden will be a highlight for them and they are already really excited.
