We're well into this year and we've been very busy! We enjoyed our visit to the Black Country Museum and have used the information from there to develop our understanding of houses and homes from now and the past.
We have also been creating our self-portraits. We were very proud of our work.
We took place in raising funds for Children in Need. We had a sponsored Dancethon. It was great fun and we felt good about helping others.
We had World Book Day. Our costumes were great! We had a parade in the hall and it was lovely to see all the costumes from other year groups.
Before Easter we performed our Easter assembly. We also had an Easter bonnet parade. Our hats were amazing!
For Mother's Day, we made special videos for our mums. You can see the one for Y1T. If any parents from Y1P want a copy of theirs, please give your email address to Mrs Peel.
Welcome to Spring Term! Our current topic is all about Nepal. We have started to learn about this country and have enjoyed finding out about mountains, especially Mount Everest. We are looking forward to our modroc mountain days when we will be making our own mountains.
This term, we will also be creating our own self-portraits. As part of this creative topic we are looking forward to visiting Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery on 7th March.
