History
At Woodlands we want you to be excited about learning about the past! We will help you to understand that some things happened a long time ago…in the past and how they helped us to live better lives today. We will encourage you to explore and find out about the past by asking questions and using the internet and information books to research and find out more about; dinosaurs, the Great Fire of London, the first person to walk on the moon and many more exciting things! We will teach you lots of things about the past in many different ways including through videos, drama, discussions with your friends and through trips and visitors! There will be lots of opportunities for you to talk about how people’s lives were different to how we live now. For example; some people didn’t have mobile phones, cars or televisions in the past! Can you imagine?
