Headteacher's Welcome
I would like to warmly welcome you to our wonderful infant school, where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. As Headteacher of Woodlands, I am delighted to introduce you to our community and promise that you will always be greeted with a warm welcome and many smiles.
At our school, we pride ourselves on offering a caring and nurturing environment, where each child feels safe and happy to learn. We believe that learning should be fun and engaging, and I couldn’t be more proud of our experienced, passionate and dedicated team who work tirelessly to nurture our children, help them to grow into confident, ambitious and motivated young people and ensure that they are all challenged and inspired to ‘be the best me that I can be’.
At Woodlands, we offer a broad and balanced curriculum that is designed to encourage creativity, curiosity and critical thinking. There is a strong focus on developing children’s fundamental skills and knowledge, and children have many opportunities to develop their talents and their awareness of the world around them. We understand that every child is unique, and we are committed to providing a personalised approach to learning that meets the needs of each individual. We also place great emphasis on wellbeing and social and emotional development, with regular opportunities for children to collaborate to develop their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.
Our families are important to us too and we very much value and work hard to forge strong partnerships with our parents and carers. We work closely to ensure that every child and family receives the support and guidance they need to succeed. We are very thankful to our parents and carers for the active interest they show in all aspects of school life.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our school website and learn more about what makes Woodlands great. Our website, however, only provides you with a glimpse of what life is like at Woodlands. There’s nothing quite like experiencing the real thing so please feel free to contact us to arrange a visit and see us in action.
