Catch Up at Woodlands

Here at Woodlands, we are ambitious and believe that we focus on narrowing gaps between groups of learners and that our monitoring and impact on progress is always a priority.

 

However, more than ever we are thinking strategically about how we can spend our Government funding to help narrow the gaps created by the pandemic and school closures.

 

Woodlands Infant School re-opened on 1st June for the remainder of the term for all pupils from Nursery to Year Two. We carefully risk assessed managing all year groups back to ensure that everyone had fair access to learning. This helped prepare us with the knowledge of our pupils in order for us to effectively predict their needs in September.

 

Our School Development Plan can be found in our prospective parents section to help detail our priorities of the school and each phase and subject has a plan of action for tackling COVID within the annual growth of our school.

 

Please see attached our COVID Catch Up Premium breakdown. You may see that this is different to other schools as we have chosen not to bring in external tutors. As you will see, we wanted to maximise every penny and ensure longevity of the funding so we are heavily investing in our staff- and it is proving it's success already.
